What this election campaign needs is ... more music! This is enough to make me want to head into the city: the Spooky Men's Chorale is about to perform this somewhere in the CBD very shortly...
Thanks to John for this link
I've kept this blog, on and off, since 2006. In 2015 I used it to chart daily encounters, images, thoughts and feelings about volcanic basalt/bluestone in Melbourne and Victoria, especially in the first part of the year. I plan to write a book provisionally titled Bluestone: An Emotional History, about human uses of and feelings for bluestone. But I am also working on quite a few other projects and a big grant application, especially now I am on research leave. I'm working mostly from home, then, for six months, and will need online sociability for company!

excellent advice for tomorrow :D
Hysterical. Have just posted the URL to a bunch of people to have a look.
Preaching to the converted, of course, but still.
I particularly like that unexpectedly non-barbership discord. Some kind of major sixth. Or something.
Congrats on your election! Here's hoping some of the magic rubs off on us in 2008.
Thanks, Karl: yes a huge relief! First up: we sign Kyoto, and then fingers crossed they won't play it too safe. It's hardly a radical change, but certainly a change for the better. And the first woman deputy PM: go Julia!!
